Over the last 40 years, I have worked in the manufacturing industry and taught manufacturing at Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN.

Yes-We do a large diversity of designing and building furniture custom made to fit any need.
We can take trees from your property and have them milled. Then we drie the custom milled lumber and turn them into a piece of furniture that you will treasure for a lifetime.
I have my own machine shop and woodworking shop where I do custom jobs; many times, combining both metal and wood skills to achieve the desired outcome.

Yes, this would be part of the contract price but if you want to pick it up that would reduce the price.

Some of the small projects would only take a few days all the way to a table with inlay could take a few months. It doesn’t mean we are working on that project the whole time. The first step after the wood is selected is to bring it into the shop and stack it so air can get to all side equally and then it can climatize to the shop. Depending on the time of year this could take a few days to more than a week. Most all projects need to be glued up and then it must set for a time for the glue to dry. We have to apply finish that has to dry between coats. We are generally working on three to four projects at once but you only get charged for the time of your project.

What is live edge?

Live edge is the natural outside of the tree minus the bark. The bark is always removed because over time it will fall off leaving a mess and wood with no finish. Live edge will be uneven like the natural tree was not squared off with a saw blade.
